Lion. Engr. Dr. Edward Aigbedion has a background in Mechanical Engineering (HND), Chemical Engineering (B.Eng., M.Eng., and PhD), Information Systems Management (DISM), Business Studies (PGD), Business Administration (MBA), Management, Leadership, and Organizational Change (MPhil., Ph.D.), and Energy Economics (Ph.D.). Edward graduated from Yaba College of Technology Lagos, the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and Walden University, Minesota, USA. Edward is also an alumnus of Lagos Business School (LBS), having attended the generic leadership program (GLP) and the team leadership program (TLP). Edward is currently pursuing a post-doctoral certification in education at Emmanuel University in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

Dr. Edward has close to three decades of experience in oil and gas. He is currently in charge of engineering changes at Nigeria LNG Limited and chairman of Wideponds Limited, an engineering design company. Edward is a fellow and past council member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management, etc.

Lion Edward joined the International Association of Lions Clubs in 1988 as a member of the Yaba Leo Club, and he later became president in 1995. In 2010, Lion Edward became the chartered president of the Bonny Island Lions Club. Dr. Edward has a tremendous passion for service, having served as Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, District Committee Chairperson, and currently Second Vice District Governor. Lion Edward is also a certified graduate of the Advanced Lions Leaders Institute (ALLI) and the Faculty Development Institute (FDI).

Edward is happily married to Lion Abimbola Aigbedion, and the union is blessed with two beautiful girls. His hobbies include golfing, software design, travelling, and meeting people.
