Dr. Edward Aigbedion has a background in Mechanical Engineering (HND), Chemical Engineering (B.Eng., M.Eng. & Ph.D.), Informaon Systems Management (DISM), Business Studies (PGD), Business Administraon (MBA), ManagementLeadership & Organizaonal Change (MPhil., Ph.D.), Energy Economics (Ph.D.), Educaon (Post Doctorate), and Data Science & Machine Learning (Cert).

Engr. Edward graduated from Yaba College of Technology Lagos, the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, the University of Liverpool United Kingdom, Walden University Minnesota USA, Emmanuel University NC -USA, and Massachuses Instute of Technology -MIT. Edward is also an Alumnus of Lagos Business School (LBS), having aended Generic Leadership Program (GLP) and Team Leadership Program (TLP).

CAREER

Edward has over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. His skills include process operaon, process control (Base-layer & advanced process control), ensure safe producon (ESP), process safety, alarm management, technical audit, and engineering governance. Edward is very analycal yet open to pragmac and soluonoriented thinking a credible team player, a focused Engineer and scholar-praconer. He is the Chairman of Wideponds Nigeria Limited, an engineering design company. Edward is also an Adjunct Faculty in Emmanuel University, North Carolina USA. Edward has aended various courses both locally and internaonally.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Council Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He is a member of Editorial Board for World Associaon for Academic Doctors, a member of Africa Leadership round Table. Edward has authored several books he is currently the Vice Chairman of the Junior Chambers Internaonal (JCI) Nigeria Senate Associaon. Life Member of JCI (a worldwide federaon of young leaders and entrepreneurs), Public Relaon Execuve, University of Liverpool Alumni South-South & South -East Nigeria. Nominated to The Naonal Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi, USA. FRSC Special Marshal. Helping to reduce road traffic accidents. Edward is affiliated with various professional bodies Registered Engineer with Council for the Regulaon of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Incorporated Engineer with Engineering Council UK, Member Instuon of Engineering & Technology in the UK, The Instuon of Chemical Engineers, UK., Fellow Instute of Professional Managers and Administrator (FIPMA), Fellow Instute of Informaon Management (FIIM), Fellow Instute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (FIMC), and Cerfied Management Consultant (CMC), Fellow Nigeria Instute of Management (FNIM), Member Internaonal Associaon for Energy Economics (IAEE), and Member Nigerian Associaon for Energy Economics (NAEE). Edward is happily married to Lion. Dr. (Mrs.) Abimbola Aigbedion a Chartered Accountant (FCA, FCTI, FNIM) and the union is blessed with two beauful daughters Esosa (a First-Class Mechanical Engineering Graduate) and Abieyuwa (a Law graduate). Edward plays golf and tennis he also enjoys web design, soware designs, and traveling. 

LIONISM

Edward joined the Yaba Leo Club in 1988 and rose through the ranks to become the Leo club president in 1994-1995. He became the chartered President of Bonny Island Lions Club in 2010, He served as Zone chairperson, Region Chairperson, and various commiee chairpersons, Dr Edward is a Guiding Lion and graduate of Advanced Lions Leadership Instute (ALLI) Oran, 2013, Faculty Development Instute (FDI) Lome, 2018.
