In a significant initiative to promote mental wellness among students, the Abuja Mega and Abuja Unity Lions Clubs, District 404A2 Nigeria, in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Abuja Achievers and Abuja Municipal, organized a Mental Health Awareness Seminar at Government Secondary School, Garki, Abuja, on October 8, 2025. 

The event was held in commemoration of World Mental Health Awareness Month and as part of the Lions Clubs International Weeks of Service.

The seminar, themed Know Yourself, Grow Yourself, featured expert facilitators who emphasized the importance of mental wellness, emotional resilience, and personal growth. Students and staff learned how to recognize early signs of emotional stress, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and seek help when needed

The program concluded with an interactive Question and Answer session, where students shared their experiences and pledged to promote mental wellness within their circles.
