By: Lions D404A2, Nigeria | Date: Wednesday, 20-11-2024
In the heart of Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, The Lions clubs International
of District 404 A2 Nigeria during their 46th Cabinet meeting held on the 9th of
November, 2024, gathered with one mission: to fight hunger among women and
children. The community had long struggled with food insecurity, and the Lions
Club decided to make a difference.
With bags of Rice, spaghetti and other essential food items,
the Lions set up a distribution center in the village square. Mothers lined up,
some with babies strapped to their backs, their faces lighting up as they
received the much-needed supplies. Children clutched their mothers hands,
their eyes wide with curiosity and hope.
One woman, Mama Chika, smiled as she held a bag of food
supplies close“ This will feed my family for weeks,†she said, her gratitude
evident.
The day ended with laughter, joy, and full hearts as the
Lions brought not just food but also hope to the community. It was a testament
to the power of Pragmatic service and compassion.
