In a remarkable display of community spirit, Lions Clubs of Region 7 embarked on a Hunger Relief Project, bringing sustenance and hope to individuals and families struggling to make ends meet.
The Region Chairperson, Lion Elder Emmanuel Jacobs, led the team of Lions and Leos in distributing essential food items across two different locations. According to Lion Jacobs, this selfless initiative addressed the pressing issue of hunger, fostering a sense of community and social responsibility.
Lion Jacobs pledged to continue this magnitude of selfless service every month, demonstrating the Lions unwavering dedication to creating a better world, one act of kindness at a time.
One of the beneficiaries in Ikot Udoma, Eket, Akwa Ibom State, overwhelmed with gratitude, thanked the Lions for providing relief when there seemed to be none. I had no hope of feeding my two children this weekend, the beneficiary said tearfully.
