The District Governor of District 404A2, Lion Sir Dr. Maurice Ibok, alongside counterparts, paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on Thursday, January 9, 2025. 

The visit led by Multiple Council Chairperson, Multiple District 404 Nigeria, Lion Ano Anyanwu, was aimed to foster community partnerships and strengthen ties with Traditional Institutions.

This strategic move is expected to facilitate community development initiatives in key areas such as health, education, and youth empowerment. The visit also showcased the Lions Club s humanitarian activities, seeking the Emir s support to encourage local participation in their programs.

By paying homage to the Emir, the Lions Club demonstrated respect for his authority, cultural heritage, and the traditions of the Kano Emirate. This courtesy visit symbolizes unity and collaboration between traditional and modern organizations, ultimately aiming to improve the welfare of the community.

The visit was attended by Multiple District Leadership, District Governors, Vice DGs, and the Past District Governor Lion Anthony Okpere. A plaque was presented to the Emir in honour of his service and commitment to community development.
