Dinner, Fundraising Ceremony & Public Presentation of Lion Amb. Winifred Nso as the 25th President of Calabar Paradise Lions Club

On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, the Calabar Paradise Lions Club held a grand dinner and fundraising ceremony, which also marked the public presentation of Lion Amb. Winifred Nso, Fondly Known called Sugar Mummy ProMax by Leos as the 25th president of the club.
The ceremony was a blend of elegance, purpose, and celebration of service. The public presentation was officially conducted by the Past District Governor, Lion PDG Charles Itu PMJF NLCF (the installation officer), who represented the District Governor, Lion Pst. Ezekiel Umoh, PMJF, NLCF.
The event was held under the distinguished chairmanship of Mr. Mfon Uwa, founder of Yiieldy Technologies Limited, whose presence and support added prestige to the occasion.
The gathering was further graced by the presence of esteemed Lions leaders, including the Immediate Past District Governor Lion Sir Maurice Ibok, PhD, PMJF, NLCF, Past District Governor Elder Soni Eloma, FCA, PMJF, NLCF, the Immediate Past District Chief of Protocol, Lion Chief Casmir Ezeonwuka NLCF, alongside Lion Agnes Bassey, NLCF (Region 6 Chairperson) and Lion Robert Antigha (Region 4 Chairperson). Also in attendance were Past Region and Zone Chairpersons, as well as the District President of Leo District 404A2, Nigeria, Leo Amb. Joyce Joyce Eduebuk, 100%P, MGA, NLEF.

The evening witnessed an impressive turnout of distinguished Lions, Leos, and guests from within and outside Cross River State, who gathered in unity to support the cause of Lionism and celebrate the new leadership. The fundraising component of the ceremony was geared toward strengthening the Club’s capacity to deliver impactful service projects that align with the Lions’ global mission of service.
In her acceptance as the 25th President of Calabar Paradise Lions Club, Lion Amb. Winifred Nso pledged her commitment to uphold the values of Lionism and to drive the Club’s activities with passion, accountability, and service to humanity.

The event was not only an evening of glamour and fellowship but also a strong reminder of the Lions’ enduring commitment to making a difference in communities.
