Lions Club Sensitizes Public on Childhood Cancer in Port Harcourt

On September 15, 2025, the Port Harcourt New Garden City Lions Club held a sensitization campaign on childhood cancer at Nigeria Info 92.3 FM. The initiative focused on educating parents and caregivers about key symptoms and the importance of early response.
Guest speaker, Dr. Ginika Chioma, Consultant Paediatrician at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), outlined common warning signs of childhood cancer and stressed the critical role of early detection and prompt medical care.
